  • The Redwood County Agricultural Society has officially announced the dates for the 2013 Redwood County Fair are July 25-28 in with Merriam’s Midway Shows returning.
Due to the large number of requests, and back by popular demand, July 27 is going to include an all Minnesota line-up featuring 14 year old Devon Worley of the Devon Worley Band opening for Rocket Club.
Both bands have played at the Redwood County Fair in the past and are sure to put on a high energy show.
Other entertainment is currently being researched and announcements will be occurring in the future and is also going to be released on the Redwood County Fair Facebook page.
The public is invited to join the Redwood County Fair Facebook page and send in suggestions as to what they would like to see at the 2013 county fair.
The Redwood County Agricultural Society /Redwood County Fair Board announced the dates at its annual meeting held Nov. 19, 2012.
Two new board members were elected to the board.  Andy Ourada of Redwood Falls and Nancy Frank of the Wabasso area have joined the board and are going to help direct the fair into the future.
Both are going to help bring a new vision to the fair to build on its past successes.
Also, elections were held and Mike Mohr of Redwood Falls was elected president for 2013.  Mohr, with the assistance of the rest of the board, is going to guide the 2013 fair and the other activities that occur on the Redwood County fairgrounds.
Elected vice-president was Jim Sandgren.  Keith Lundberg is the secretary for 2013, and Kirby Josephson is the treasurer.
After many years on the ag society, George Schottenbauer resigned from the fair board but has committed to be a volunteer in the future.
Schottenbauer spent many years on the fair board, and with his knowledge and enthusiasm he helped resurrect the fair over the past few years to become an attraction for all of Redwood and surrounding counties.
