  • Thanksgiving Day is a time when families gather together to eat and enjoy each other’s company in an environment where words of thanks are offered to those who mean the most to us.

  • Thanksgiving Day is a time when families gather together to eat and enjoy each other’s company in an environment where words of thanks are offered to those who mean the most to us.
    For the faith community, Thanksgiving is also a time to express our appreciation to God for the myriad blessings he provides not only in this one day but throughout the year. With that in mind, many area congregations are gathering next week.
    What follows is a list of the services which have been scheduled next week:
    • Redwood Falls United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian of Redwood Falls are co-hosting a Thanksgiving service Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Presbyterian church. Re-freshments follow.
    • Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service at 6:30 p.m., with a pie social following in the fellowship hall.
    • St. John Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m., with a Thanksgiving Day service scheduled for 9 a.m.
    • The Church of St. Catherine in Redwood Falls is hosting a Thanksgiving Day service at 8 a.m.
    • An ecumenical community Thanksgiving worship service is being held this coming Sunday in Milroy at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church starting at 7 p.m.
    • Grace Lutheran Church is hosting a service Tuesday night starting at 7 p.m., with refreshments following.
    • St. John’s Catholic Church in Morton is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve vigil at 6 p.m.
    • Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m.
    • St. Joseph’s Oratory in Clements is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve Mass Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
    • St. John Lutheran in Vesta is hosting a Thanks-giving Eve service at 7 p.m.
    • Echo Alliance Church is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m.
    • St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Flora Township of Renville County is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments and a time of Christmas decorating of the church.
    • An ecumenical community Thanksgiving service is being held at Our Lady of Victory church in Lucan this coming Monday at 7 p.m.
    • St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Wabasso is hosting an ecumenical community Thanksgiving Eve service starting at 7:30 p.m.
    • Rock Dell Lutheran Church in rural Belview is hosting a Thanksgiving Day service starting at 9 a.m.
    • Peace Lutheran in Echo is conducting a Thanksgiv-ing Day service at 9 a.m.
