Marie Sullivan, 94, of Redwood Falls died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Parkview Home in Belview. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 from St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Morton. Visitation will be held at the church Friday, November 16, 2012, from 4-7 p.m., with a Rosary at 4 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to services.

Marie Wilhelmina Sullivan, the daughter of Anton and Wilhelmina (Mulert) Eisenbarth, was born December 13, 1917 in Morgan. She grew up in the Morgan area, receiving her elementary education in country school and graduating from Morgan High School in 1935.
On November 24, 1938, Marie married Benedict Sullivan at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan. The couple lived, farmed and raised their 14 children in Birch Cooley Township, Renville County. In addition to being a homemaker and helping on the farm, Marie sold Tupperware for about 20 years. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Morton where she served as a CCD teacher. Marie was an active member of the Council of Catholic Women (CCW), serving as president and as a national delegate. She was a life member of the Redwood Falls VFW Auxiliary and was an active member of the Renville County DFL Party. She and Ben belonged to the Farmers Union.
Marie was a 4-H leader and was the foods project supervisor at the Renville County Fair. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting items for family and friends. She also made rosaries for many family members. Marie enjoyed gardening and raising African violets.
Marie moved to Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls in October 2005.
She is survived by her children Veronica Hecht of Battle Lake, Stephen (Jean) Sullivan of Roch-ester, Dennis (Patricia) Sullivan of Farmington, Patrick (Cindy) Sullivan of Coon Rapids, Kath-leen Sullivan (Johnathon Mitchell) of Centreville, Va., Mary (James Kanne) Sullivan of Franklin, David (Debra) Sullivan of Kasson, Richard (Linda) Sullivan of Belview, Kevin (Dorraine) Sullivan of Burnsville, Jean (George) Meinz of St. Cloud, Donna (Michael) Barrett of St. James, Betty (Ron) Cramer of Fairbanks, Alaska and Teresa (Robert) Noyes of Porter; 41 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Beverly Sullivan of Balaton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benedict and sons Francis in infancy and Gerald “Jerry” Sullivan; son-in-law Chuck Hecht and grandson Joseph Sullivan.
