A ten-panel exhibit telling the story of the U.S. Dakota War of 1862 will be at the Redwood Falls Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 12 – 2 p.m.
The exhibit, which is traveling throughout Minnesota during this sesquicentennial observation, will be available for viewing.
Elizabeth Baer, a professor from Gustavus Adolphus, Ben Leonard, Executive Director of the Nicollet County Historical Society, and two students will be at the library to answer questions and walk people through this museum exhibit.
Each panel depicts a different aspect of actions leading up to the war, the war itself and its aftermath.
This important event is free and open to the public and handicapped accessible. This program is made possible by a Legacy Grant.
