Area residents helped the Red Cross blast past its goal at this Redwood Falls National Guard Armory, this past week.
The Red Cross set a goal of collecting 230 units, and drove away Tuesday evening with 290 instead.
Said area blood drive coordinator Laura Kohler, “Redwood Falls blood donors rock!”
Results of the blood drive:
• Goal: 230
• Deferrals: 15
• Double red donors: 28
• Total units collected: 290
• First time donors: Emma Ceplecha, Abby Einck, Benjamin Ovre (all 16 year old), Wilbert Werner (donated when he served in the military many decades ago)
