When the RVHS cast and crew of “A Christmas Carol,” the classic tale written by Charles Dickens, take the stage the story that unfolds in front of the audience may be a bit different than they recall – especially since what is being performed is a musical.
“Many have probably read or seen this production as a one-act or three-act play,” said Whitney Hegg, director for  the RVHS performance. “The musical version may present a fresh face on the classic story.”
Hegg said she selected this production for several reasons,  including the fact that it allows for a big cast, and Hegg said she likes to include as many students as possible in the school’s productions.
She also said she wanted to present a story that almost every audience member would be familiar with, but added the element of something different in this performance was also an attraction for her.
The play is scheduled to be performed Nov. 8-10 at 7:30 p.m. each night in the PAC.
