Chip sealing of city streets will begin on Monday, Aug. 20.
The granite chips will be allowed to bind in place for 3-4 days followed by sweeping and a black fog sealing beginning Monday the 27th. Parking and traffic lines will be repainted soon after.
No parking signs will be posted on Sunday, Aug. 19. Barricades will be placed screening the immediate work area and will move from street to street.
Motorists are required to find another route to their destination. Once the chips are down, the barricades will be removed and open to motorists. The same process will take place for the fog seal on Monday Aug. 27.
The project area consists of the streets between Lincoln and Mill Street and Hwy 19 and Fifth Street.
Crews will start early Monday, Aug. 20 on Second Street followed by Washington Street, then Fourth Street and then on to the rest of the area.
The City of Redwood Falls asks for your patience through the process.
