    Dorothy Haus, 90, of Redwood Falls and formerly of Morton died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 8, from Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morton with burial following in the Morton City Cemetery.

    Dorothy Emma Haus, the daughter of Martin and Zissie (Hamann) Bleick, was born March 16, 1922 in rural Fairfax. 
    She grew up in rural Fairfax and received her formal education at the parochial school in Fairfax.
    On June 8, 1939, Dorothy married Paul R. Haus in Fairfax. The couple farmed in the Fairfax and Gibbon areas before settling in rural Morton where they continued farming. Dorothy was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She also enjoyed music, gardening and farming – and she loved to play cards. Dorothy was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morton. She served as church organist at Zion and at two other churches, for a total of 34 years.
    In her later years, Dorothy became a resident of Garnette Gardens and then Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls.
    Dorothy is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Shirley and Jerry Brockway of Lead, S.D., and Naomi and Dale McColley of Sun City, Ariz.; her sons and daughters-in-law Emery and Betty Haus of New Ulm, and Laurell and Mary Jayne Haus of Sleepy Eye. Also surviving are her grandchildren Bradley Haus, Michael Haus, Donald Bratsch, Jerry Brockway, Jr., Lisa Brusnahan, Margaret Mont-gomery, Sandra Walker, Cherry Brockway, Kristine Mateyka, and Brenda Haus, 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul, in 1995; her sister Ethel Freyholtz; her brother Orphield Bleick; her great-granddaughter Heather Montgomery; and her great-grandson Dillon Frantz.
