Humor and chills combine this weekend in the Redwood Area Theatre’s summer production of Arsenic and Old Lace.
The Broadway hit comedy features the misadventures of the Brewster family, with eccentric aunties Abby and Martha poisoning gentleman callers, serial killer nephew Jonathan on the run from the law, and crazy Uncle Teddy thinking he’s Theodore Roosevelt.
Sane nephew Jonathan Brewster can stave off further disaster, but only if he can avoid the well-intentioned plottings of his own relatives.
RAT’s first non-musical summer production, Arsenic and Old Lace, will be performed at the Estebo Performing Arts Center in the Redwood Valley High School.
Play dates include Thursday, July 19 and Friday, July 20, at 7:30 p.m.
The Saturday, July 21 matinee is set for 2 p.m.
