    Mary Ann Bertha Steffl (Seifert), 75, of Worthington, died Sunday, June 3 at the GoldenLiving Center in Slayton. 


    The funeral was held Wednesday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.


    Memorials may be made in Mary Ann Steffl’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.

  •   Mary Ann Bertha Steffl (Seifert), 75, of Worthington, died Sunday, June 3 at the GoldenLiving Center in Slayton. She was born January 12, 1937 in Redwood County, the daughter of Jacob and Alma Seifert.  She had resided in Worthington since 1975. She married David Steffl on April 11, 1953 in Wabasso. Twelve children were born to this union.  Mary enjoyed music, especially singing and passed that love of singing to her family. She was an avid sports fan, loved her family, enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Fidelis Steinke of Springfield and children, Steve (Michele) Steffl of Lake Wilson, Neal (Jane) Steffl of Worthington, Donna Steffl, of Sauk Center, Kathy (Greg) Vaske of Omaha, Neb., Colleen (Steve) Benson of Garretson, S.D., Tom (Sue) Steffl of Worthington, Mike Steffl of Worthington, David (Deb) Steffl of Chandler, Pat (Susette) Steffl of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Barbara (Matt) Tabor of Inver Grove Heights and 31 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Jacob and Alma Seifert, her husband David Steffl, son Richard Steffl, daughter Therese Schleppenbach and grandson Tony Schleppen-bach.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Harold Seifert. The funeral was held Wednesday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Memorials may be made in Mary Ann Steffl’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
