Here’s the coolest thing I’ve seen today:
For the last couple weeks I’ve been researching different communities in Redwood County for the Gazette’s upcoming new and improved visitor’s guide.
While looking through antique photos of the Wabasso area, I stumbled across this undated photo showing an elephant being led back to town after escaping from the circus east of Wabasso.
Based on what camera tecnology was like over the decades, I’m guessing this photo dates from the early 1900s or 19-teens.
Can you imagine being a Minnesota farmer in, say, 1914, and seeing an elephant stroll by?
