Do you consider yourself to be a pretty good father, although you know you could be even better?
Do you long to be better than good enough when it comes to raising your kids?
It is hard for any man to admit being a father is a challenging role, but finding the courage to seek a better relationship with one’s heavenly father and as a result a better relationship with one’s children can be accomplished.
Taking that first step is the topic of a Sherwood Pictures (the makers of Fireproof) film called Courageous, and this Friday night Redwood Alliance Church in Redwood Falls is hosting a free showing of the movie.
The movie is set to play at 7 p.m. at the church on Second Street (the old Armory building), and there is no charge for those who would like to attend.
According to Tim Dean, Redwood Alliance pastor, the movie presents a strong message as it offers a faith-based message especially geared toward fathers.
Yet, he added, this is certainly a movie everyone can benefit from watching.
“We as a church want to minister to our community and to reinforce the importance of strong families,” Dean said. “We believe this is one way we can help.”
Refreshments are being served during the presentation, and all are invited and encouraged to attend.
