The surging Redwood Valley boys basketball team improved to 20-1 on the season and wrapped up the SWC title with a 79-51 rout of visiting Jackson Co.?Central Friday night in its regular season conference finale.
The?Cardinals (20-1, 11-1) then made another statement on Tuesday night by crushing MACCRAY?(19-6) - ranked sixth in Class A -  79-59 on its home floor.
In both games the Cardinals showed nice balance but were ultimately led by standout Mike Busack who finished with 29 points in each of the games.
Friday night against the Huskies he knocked down five three’s and was 11-of-18 shooting to go along with six rebounds and four assists.
Tuesday night he went 11-of-16 from the floor - including six three’s - to go along with nine rebounds and two assists.
Beau Stough was a force inside against the Wolverines knocking down a pair of three’s to finish with 14 points, nine rebounds and two assists.
He added 11 points, four rebounds and three assists in the win over JCC.
Junior Alec Koster had 11 points, six rebounds and five assists in a solid effort against MACCRAY.
He would add 14 points and two assists in the win over JCC.
Steve Runkel had 10 points in the win over MACCRAY and added five points and three assists against JCC.
Adam Hengel had seven points off the bench in the win over the Wolverines while RJ?Juell scored seven points and grabbed seven big rebounds in the win over JCC.
Junior Jordan Ford chipped in with seven points and five assists against the?Huskies.
The Cardinals continue to shoot well from the floor on a nightly basis. In the win over MACCRAY they shot nearly 53 percent (30-of-57) and were 12-of-23 from beyond the arc.
Against the Huskies, they shot over 53 percent (32-of-60) and hit nine three’s.
The Cardinals host GFW tonight and wrap up the regular season with a pair of non-conference games at New Ulm on Friday and at TMB on Monday.
