Steven Otto Zick, the son of Otto and Amanda (Panitzke) Zick, was born April 25, 1947 in Redwood Falls.  He grew up on the family farm in rural Lucan. Steve attended elementary school in Lucan and high school in Milroy, graduating from Milroy High School in 1965. He then attended one year of post-secondary school in Worthington. On July 29, 1966, Steve married Carmen Goche in Redwood Falls and they resided in Lucan for three years.  Then, in 1969, Steve and Carmen began farming the land next to the family farm and started raising their family there.  They took over the family farm in 1977 and have resided there since. Steve was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Vesta where he served several terms as church president and on the church counsel. He was also a member of the Granite Rock Township Board.  Steve’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved traveling with his wife, golfing and hunting with family and friends, and working on the family farm. Steve always had time to visit with people. Steve is survived by his wife Carmen of rural Lucan; children Joanne (Brad) Kletscher of Woodbury, Jeffrey (Kristine) Zick of Alexandria, Gregory Zick of Washington, D.C. and Ashley (Tony) Lillie of Eagan; grandchildren Logan Zick, Stephanie Kletscher, Stephen Kletscher, Matthew Zick, Lauren Lillie, Erika Zick, Michael Lillie, Alexis Lillie and Nathan Lillie and his brothers Gary (Linda) Zick of Redwood Falls and Dave (Lynne) Zick of Milroy.   He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law Dennis Goche. Blessed be his memory.
