The Redwood Valley girls basketball team will head into the postseason on a high note after thumping GFW 63-40 Monday night in its regular season finale.
The Cardinals (5-18) bolted out to a 33-10 halftime advantage and cruised from there to an easy win over a GFW team ranked sixth in the Section 3AA Tournament.
Jessica Fischer went 5-of-8 from long distance to finish with 20 points, five steals and four rebounds.
Sam Felt added 12 points, four rebounds and four assists and Kelsey Gaffney had a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots.
Megan Bunting had six points off the bench and Liz Smith chipped in with five points and three assists.
Saturday night the Cards wrapped up SWC play with a 58-37 loss to visiting Pipestone Area.
The Arrows (17-3) - who finished second in the SWC with a mark of 9-3 - led 32-11 at the half and cruised to the victory.
Smith finished with 13 points, Felt added 12 points and three steals and Fischer added nine points, five assists, five rebounds and four steals.
Janessa Read chipped in with three points and four rebounds.
The Cardinals finished the conference season 2-10 and in a tie with Windom Area for sixth place.
Worthington (17-5) went   11-1 to win the SWC title.
The fifth-seeded Cardinals face YME (10-11) in the opening round of Section 3AA play Saturday at 7 p.m. in Granite Falls having recently lost to the Sting by a 51-42 margin.
