Elsie Helen Borth, the daughter of Elmer and Frieda (Riemann) Reynolds, was born November 5, 1930 in Sheridan Township, Redwood County. She grew up on the farm and received her formal education at District 103 rural school and Wabasso Public School. Elsie graduated from Wabasso High School in 1949.

On September 3, 1950, Elsie married Lyle Borth in Redwood Falls. The couple made their home in Redwood Falls where Elsie kept busy raising their family. She also worked on the assembly line at Control Data/MPI/Zytec for about 15 years, retiring in 1993. Elsie was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and served on the funeral committee. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards and games, dancing to old time music, attending card club, bird watching, quilting and knitting. Elsie’s most precious joys were her family, friends and – most of all –  her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elsie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lyle Borth of Redwood Falls; her children Rodney Borth of Chaska, Karen (Jim) Goblirsch of Wabasso, and Mark (Pam) Borth of Genessee, Idaho; and her daughter-in-law Barb Borth of St. Cloud. Also surviving are her grandchildren Emily, Lyle, Ruth Ann, Maryn, Cheri (Clint), Adam, Brian, Debra, Ryan, Jason, and Garrett; her great-grandchildren Cassidy, Chase, Camryn, and Hunter; her brother Richard (Marlene) Reynolds of Ruthven, Iowa; and sister Dorothy (Bill) Wise of East Palatka, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frieda and Elmer; her son Dennis; her brothers Eldon, Clarence, and Milford; and her sisters Lois, and Florence.

Blessed be her memory.
