Kenneth R. “Kenny” Muetzel, 66, of rural Wabasso, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at his home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. from St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Seaforth with burial following at Crestlawn Gardens, rural Redwood Falls.

Kenneth R. “Kenny” Muetzel, 66, of rural Wabasso, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at his home.

Kenneth Richard Muetzel, the son of Richard and Juen (Verna) Muetzel, was born September 27, 1942 on the family farm home in Granite Rock Township, Redwood County.
He received some of his education at Belview, graduating from Wabasso High School in 1960. Kenny worked different places around the county, for local farmers, Sleepy Eye Canning and Redwood Motor Company.
He also worked for REM as well as Central Bi. After 16 years of service, he retired from Activaid in 1995. Kenny was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Seaforth and had served as an usher.
He enjoyed going for rides in the country, fishing and his garden. He loved outside work and riding his big green John Deere lawn tractor.
Helping other people was always important to Kenny. His hobby was spending time on his big collection of eagles.
On October 28, 1967 Kenny was united in marriage to Sharon R. Rose Wetzel at Olivia.
Kenneth R. Muetzel died at his home north of Wabasso Saturday, July 25, 2009. He had attained the age of 66 years, nine months, and 28 days.
Kenny is survived by his daughter Shannon Muetzel of Grantsville, Utah, his mother Juen Starken of rural Wabasso and a host of friends and other relatives.
Kenny was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Richard Muetzel.
